2008 Mazda Hakaze Concept

A little more sporty then his cousin, the Taiki, the Hakaze can surely pass as another revolutionary aerodynamic piece of fine ride. Just like his cousin he adopted the Nagare design to seemingly give the riders a feel of swishing through the clouds.

This classy mobile has made it's way to the European Sassou car show and on about a total of three continents. These shows include Tokyo Motor Show. The new design is named Nagare and was brought to us by a global designer by the name of Laurens van den Acker. Nagare means flow and the embodiment of movement.

The first glimpse of these Nagare cars were shown in the LA Auto Show and later in Detroit. People have become extremely intrigued in the geological patterns and the way they portray the flow of wind. They are extremely captivating to the eye. This ride is also lightweight and sleek in nature.

It was designed in Frankfurt, Germany. This particular car is a type of compact/coupe with the ride of a roadster. What a combination. The roof comes off just about completely.

Hakaze is the Japanese word for 'ha' meaning leaf and 'kaze' meaning wind. Definitely meeting this description in the car because of it's dual style and capabilities. There are no door handles or mirrors. There is a detachable glass roof. Mickael Loyer and Luca Zollino worked together to create the exterior. Mickael's inspiration derived from shapes and moldings that came from natural elements like wind and water.

The wheels are 20 inches and are an art form all their own. There are propeller and sand dune shapes that are the highlight in the design of this magnificent car. What other things that make it unique is the hatch and it's more then anal shape.

Even the colors portray a desert like imagery making the car appear as if it is touched by the desert sunset. It kind of sounds like it is something you would take cruising on the Arizona back roads. The paint job is so similar, it may seem as if it just blends in almost camouflaged. It is similar to a sand dune or maybe a sand wave.

The doors also pop up on this one as well, with just the touch of a button. Inside you will find enough room to seat four comfortably in bucket seats. The car may seem small from the outside but you will notice that it is quite contrary to how it feels on the inside.

The car is virtually controlled by the touch of a button. You are able to set personal driving settings. If that isn't enough, he can even transfer data from his personal home computer to the computer in the car. now if that isn't revolutionary, what is? Charge up all those phones, cameras and MP3 players if you need to.

If space is what you need in the back and not passengers, you can literally slide the lower part of the rear passenger seats underneath the front two seats. Store camping or gulf equipment.

With all of the vibrant beauty on the outside, they wanted to give that feel on the inside as well. Find yourself on the beach sitting in the sunset. That is the feel you will get while sitting in this car. Just take it out for the day on the beach. It is ready to put itself in four wheel drive traction and the six speed sport automatic transmission compliments what this little sporty is all about.

Did I fail to mention the lightweight and aerodynamic shape that makes it great for moving all in your control. This MZR 2.3 litre DISI is high performance with direct injection for maximum performance. Let's not forget the torque split all wheel drive transmission. What more can a sport car fanatic want?
